Google bard AI - ChatGPT rival from Google
Google just announced their own AI chat service, named Bard AI. Bard is going to be the direct competitor for chatGPT which was released recently by OpenAI. Currently Bard is in testing phase and soon it will be unleashed for the public in the upcoming weeks.
What is ChatGPT?
Just think of a friend, who is techinally sound in most of the fields and also knows what happening around the world. He/She is able to answer your most of the queries isn't? Now, imagine a machine is doing that instead your friend. That machine is called ChatGPT.
ChatGPT is an AI ( Artificial Intelligence ) powered chatbot, with the help of Natural Language Processing ( NLP ) and Reinforcement learning, it answers user's queries.
It helps the users to write essays, suggestions for code and it event write songs.
What is Google Bard?
Google Bard is a conversational AI developed by Google and its powered by LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications). Bard will use the plethora of data available on the internet to deliver original and accurate answers. Bard is currently in the testing phase and will be made accessible to the public in the coming weeks.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, in a blog post he wrote that "Users will be able to rely on Bard to simplify complex topics such as understanding the James Webb Space Telescope. Based on the screenshots Google has shared, Bard will be able to answer in a conversational manner, with longer paragraphs similar to how ChatGPT works at the moment"

Though both ChatGPT and Google Bard uses language based AI models and ChatGPT already gained 1 million users just in a week, but it is assumed that Google Bard has slight edge over ChatGPT. The reasons are below:

ChatGPT vs Google Bard

- Google Bard can access large data already available in the internet, while ChatGPT has knowledge only upto 2021 and it requires contineous update to stay up-to-date. But after the partnership with Microsoft, it is expected that ChatGPT will also have access to large data through Microsoft.
- Google Bard will soon integrated into Google search engiine, So it gets a trillion of data available in google to tailor customised response for the user. As said earlier, partnership with Microsoft will enable ChatGPT gain access to large set of data and it will be soon integrated with Bing search engine as well.
- The Chat GPT may provide some factual errors and make up stuff, but Google's Bard AI may provide more accurate results.
- As mentioned by Pichai, Google Bard will use less computing power which enables them to scale more users. But with ChatGPT, It puts the users in queue when large number of users trying to use ChatGPT, So Google Bard will be available for more number of users compared to ChatGPT.
